The Library Gallery, Haverfordwest at 7pm.

"Flying Boat Heaven" - a talk by John Evans, Project Manager of the Pembroke Dock Sunderland Trust, who will describe the history of flying boats in Milford Haven during and after the second World War. Come and hear about some of the more exciting exploits of these magnificent machines. The latest news on the recovery of the Sunderland flying boat, currently lying at the bottom of the Haven, will also be revealed.

Open meeting - free of charge, all welcome. Tea and coffee available from 7pm, talk starts 7.30pm.

Thursday, 19th February 2009 at 2pm - 4pm. (approx.)

A historical tour of Pembroke town, with particular reference to the Civil War - led by Terry John, an hereditary freeman of Pembroke.

Meeting Place: Lower end of incline leading to Pembroke Castle entrance.

Please note: Pembroke is located on a limestone ridge. There will be one narrow, steep descent to the Commons via the New Way, which is provided with a handrail.

Wednesday, 18th March 2009 from 11am to 4pm.

Secret Places on the National Trust Stackpole Estate.

A combined social and natural history outing to the Stackpole Estate to see many places of interest, some of which are not normally open to the public. The tour will include a visit to the Stackpole Centre and the Walled Garden (run by MENCAP) in the morning. Cliffs, lakes, a bronze age settlement and the Lodge Park Wood will also be on the agenda in the afternoon. Stout footwear please, and if you intend to stay all day, bring a packed lunch and waterproofs.
